Blind Senior Dog’s Sweet Reaction to Grandma’s Visit Warms Hearts

A heartwarming moment between a 12-year-old blind Chihuahua named Grace and her favorite visitor has captured the internet’s attention. Despite her age and inability to see, Grace’s sharp senses kicked in when her beloved grandma, Wendy Kelly, stopped by for a visit.

Grace’s mom, Shelby Salmela, from Austin, Texas, shared the touching scene on TikTok, where it quickly went viral. In the video, Grace’s younger sister, Katie, had already leaped into their grandma’s arms. But it was Grace’s reaction to recognizing Kelly’s voice that melted hearts. Once she realized who had arrived, the excited pup eagerly tried to get closer.

Salmela described the bond between Grace and her mother as something truly special, saying the joy her dog feels when they’re together is priceless. The clip has racked up over 1.5 million views and nearly 200,000 likes.
