This recipe takes the classic hummus dip and adds a nutritious (and colorful) twist: spirulina! This recipe is super easy to whip up, simply add all the ingredients and blend. You can use it as a creamy base for pita wraps or as a dip for toasted chips and veggies. Yum!
Spirulina Hummus [Vegan]
- 1 14-ounce can of chickpeas, drained
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon spirulina
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Sea salt and pepper, to taste
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
