How to Prepare Grilled Romaine Salad [Vegan]
- Slice the romaine heads in half lengthwise. Use a clean cloth to dry the romaine, and clean off any debris or dirt.
- In a bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, salt, and garlic powder. Using a brush, liberally coat the romaine with the marinade.
- Turn your gas grill to high, or heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Grill the romaine lettuce on the grill or in the skillet until lightly charred on all sides, turning every minute or two until done.
- Plate and drizzle the hummus Caesar over the lettuce, followed by a hefty helping of breadcrumbs the halved cherry tomatoes, and balsamic glaze. Serve immediately.
