How to Prepare Ginger Miso Vegan Chick’n [Vegan]

    For the Ginger Miso Sauce:

    1. Whisk ingredients together in a medium, non-reactive, bowl.
    2. After whisking, use a fork to mash in any miso or peanut butter clumps that didn't mix in.
    3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to overnight. Stir, taste, and adjust seasonings if needed.

For the Ginger Miso Vegan Chicken:

    1. Take sauce out of the refrigerator, and set on counter.
    2. Saute the onions with a little oil in a large skillet, over medium heat, for about 7 to 10 minutes or until translucent.
    3. Add the vegan chicken strips and cook according to the manufacturer's or recipe instructions.
    4. Whisk the water and cornstarch together, and then whisk into the ginger miso sauce.
    5. Stir the ginger miso sauce into the skillet, stirring to coat the vegan chicken.
    6. Once the sauce is warmed through, remove the skillet from the heat, and serve over rice or noodles.

    Notes

You can omit the peanut butter. You cannot taste the individual flavor, but it does add creaminess to the sauce.
