This is a great way to add new flavor and excitement to plain old vegan butter. You can also use this technique with any fresh or dried herb you like – other nice options would be thyme, rosemary, or basil. A pat of this lovely herbed butter would be great on scrambled tofu, vegan quiches, or stirred into mashed potatoes.

Garlicky Chive Blossom Butter [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

  • 1 stick unsalted vegan butter, at room temperature
  • 10-12 chive blossoms, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients until they are well incorporated. If you are making multiple sticks, use a stand mixer, your arms will thank you!

  2. Depending on what you're doing with it, you can put it in a bowl to serve or place it on saran wrap and roll it into a log. Put it in the refrigerator for at least an hour to firm back up. Slice it, chunk it, cube it, or serve it and use it anyway you'd like it!
