Ingredients

  • 4 medium tortillas or 2 big tortillas
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Vegan cooking spray or 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Add sugar and cinnamon into a small bowl and stir.
  2. Melt the butter and brush the tortillas with butter or spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on both sides of the tortillas.
  3. Cut the medium tortillas in 8 wedges per tortilla or the big tortillas into 30 wedges.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375℉. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and put the churro wedges in a single layer on the baking tray.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Turn the churro wedges halfway through the baking tray.
  6. In the meanwhile melt the chocolate chips au bain-marie. Put a saucepan with water on the stove.
  7. Put the chocolate chips in a small bowl on top of the saucepan and stir until the chocolate chips have melted completely.
  8. Take the churro chips out of the oven and put them in a bowl. Cool slightly and serve directly with the chocolate sauce.
