Plant-based meat alternatives by Beyond Meat are making their way into many fast food chains and popular restaurants. Their burgers and sausages are available at Tim Horton’s. Carl’s Jr. also offers Beyond Meat burgers, and Dunkin’ expanded the Beyond breakfast sausage to all menus nationwide after a successful test run. Denny’s also added the plant-based burger to locations in Los Angeles in October 2019, but now the burger will be expanded to 1,700 locations in the United States and Canada.
Denny’s is offering the plant-based patty on menus to meet guests’ desire to move toward a flexitarian diet. The Denny’s Beyond Burger which will now be on the core menu consist of a 100% plant-based Beyond Burger patty topped with freshly sliced tomatoes and onions, crisp lettuce, pickles, American cheese and All-American sauce on a multigrain bun. If you’d like to make it vegan, ask at the restaurant if excluding the cheese makes it vegan. It’s nice to know you might have an option here if and when dining out with family and friends.
About their test run in Los Angeles, chief brand officer John Dillon says, “The positive response we received validated our decision to partner with Beyond Meat to introduce our guests to a plant-based option. We could not be more excited to add the Beyond Burger to our permanent lineup of delicious, affordable menu options as we continue to innovate and expand our menu to meet evolving dietary preferences.”
To celebrate, customers can receive a free meatless burger at participating locations on January 30 from 11 am to 10 pm.
