Free vegan ice cream? Yes please! From 4 pm to 8 pm on November 1st 2019, Ben & Jerry’s locations across the country will be hosting their first World Vegan Day Happy Hour. They will be offering a free scoop of their non-dairy ice cream to every customer!

The iconic ice cream brand from Vermont is famous for their indulgent frozen desserts packed full with sweet chunks and swirls. In 2016, they launched a non-dairy, 100% vegan certified version of the classic made with almond milk. The first four vegan flavors were Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, Coffee Caramel Fudge and P.B. & Cookies, but they have since expanded the non-dairy range to 12 flavors!

Adding vegan menu options is definitely a step in the right direction as it can decrease the demand for animal foods like dairy that can harm the environment, and this is not the only eco-friendly move Ben & Jerry’s has made. In early 2019, they also pledged to phase out single use plastic.

Use the Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop locator to see if you can get free ice cream near you! Supporting the non-dairy options from big brands is a good way to let them know we want more!

Make Your Own Vegan Ice Cream!
