As one of the major players in the plant-based food industry, So Delicious Dairy Free has become a household staple. Not only are they the makers of Salted Caramel Cluster Cashew Milk and Cookie Dough Coconut Milk ice cream, So Delicious also offers vegan yogurt, creamers, and other products. And now it seems like the company is now getting their hands on another exploding vegan item: dairy-free cheese!

VegNews magazine recently teased a photo of the So Delicious dairy-free, soy-free cheese shreds, with flavors including Cheddar, Cheddar Jack, and Mozzarella.


There is no news yet on when the cheeses will be available in grocery stores, but we really hope they will be hitting shelves soon so we can stock up!


Just recently we shared the news of Danone, the parent company of So Delicious Dairy Free, investing in a multi-million dollar branding campaign for the dairy-free company which includes the new tagline, “Nothing Compares.” In just the last couple of months, So Delicious has already seen their frozen dessert sales increase by 15 percent and its overall product sales jump 21 percent, according to Neilson. And with the global non-dairy cheese industry set to be worth $3.5 billion by 2023, according to a new report compiled by Market Research Future (MRF), it seems like Danone is smartly getting in one of the non-dairy cheese game!

With concerns over allergens as well as antibiotic and hormone use, and animal welfare concerns  – not to mention the rising environmental concerns associated with dairy, it’s no surprise that over one-third of consumers prefer dairy-free milk and U.S. milk consumption has declined. A number of new vegan cheese products have recently hit the market, making the decision to choose better for animals, the environment, and your own health very simple.
