A video recently went viral on TikTok of a woman holding her new puppy in a canvas bag on her shoulder to keep him out of trouble while she is cooking.
The video quickly racked up over 1.2 million views. The puppy, named Luna Lovegood, also has an older pup sibling named Severus Snape.
“When you’re being crazy pup while moms cooking,” @lkn.goldens wrote on the TikTok video.
“Ahh a time out bag. Won’t fit for much longer though,” one user joked.
Having a new dog can make it hard to do everyday tasks while you need to be watching them. Keeping a dog out of trouble requires a combination of supervision, training, and management. Here are some tips that can help:
- Puppy-proof your home: Before bringing a new puppy home, make sure to puppy-proof your home by removing any hazardous items such as poisonous plants, electrical cords, and small objects that could be swallowed.
- Use a crate or playpen: A crate or playpen can help keep your puppy safe when you are unable to supervise them. It also helps to establish a safe and comfortable space where your puppy can rest and relax.
- Supervise your puppy: When your puppy is out of the crate or playpen, it is important to supervise them closely. This will allow you to intervene if they are doing something they shouldn’t be doing.
- Use positive reinforcement training: Positive reinforcement training involves rewarding your puppy for good behavior. This can help teach your puppy what behaviors are acceptable and what behaviors are not.
- Provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation: Puppies have a lot of energy and need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Make sure to provide your puppy with regular walks, playtime, and training sessions.
- Be patient and consistent: Training a new puppy takes time and patience. Be consistent in your approach and make sure to reward good behavior consistently.
Try these simple tips to help keep your new puppy out of trouble and set them up for a lifetime of good behavior!
