In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded at the Indianapolis International Airport, a defenseless puppy was found abandoned, prompting the Speedway Animal Rescue to launch a plea for information from the public. The rescue organization took to social media to share the pup’s story, hoping to connect with the owner and shed light on the circumstances that led to this distressing abandonment.

The abandoned puppy, aptly named Boeing by the Speedway Animal Rescue, was discovered at the airport on a Monday. The rescue organization, expressing concern for the puppy’s well-being, speculated that the owner may have faced a difficult decision, possibly related to health certification issues.

Descriptive details about Boeing were provided by the rescue to aid in the search for the owner. Boeing is approximately 4-5 months old, with visible injuries, including stitches in his front leg/armpit and a body bandage. Despite being neutered, Boeing does not have a microchip. The Speedway Animal Rescue assured the owner that they would not face repercussions and urged them to come forward.

The plea for information touched the hearts of many, resulting in a wave of comments and inquiries on Facebook. In a subsequent post, Speedway Animal Rescue expressed gratitude for the overwhelming Support but clarified that Boeing is currently in foster care, and the legal process requires a two-week holding period to allow the dog’s parents to come forward.

Addressing the potential adopters, the rescue emphasized that Boeing would not be available for adoption until fully healed. A family with a previous adoption history from the rescue has expressed interest, securing the first right to adopt once Boeing becomes available.

The Speedway Animal Rescue acknowledged the absence of a microchip in Boeing and cautioned against potential scams, urging anyone claiming ownership to contact them directly. Furthermore, the rescue organization revealed that the airport is actively involved in investigating the origins of the abandoned puppy, providing an additional layer of effort to reunite Boeing with his parent.
