Any animal lover will immediately tell you their dogs are family. We shower them with toys, treats, and would ultimately do anything to ensure their well-being. And with six to eight million animals entering U.S. shelters every year, the thought of deserting our beloved companions is absolutely out of the question. But sadly, that is exactly what happened to Cash, a one-year-old Catahoula mix.
Cash was abandoned near an airport, but thankfully a local professor spotted the dog and provided a safe haven for him. He was going to take Cash to his local shelter but then the non-profit organization, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, stepped in to save Cash and give him a second chance at life. The rescue group knew they couldn’t turn their back on this innocent dog.
