Research has indicated that eating a plant-based diet can help to prevent a variety of chronic diseases and illnesses and promote longevity with better health in adults.
Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare reported that “After reviewing clinical trials and epidemiological studies* On aging, researchers found that people who ate plant-based foods were up to 50 percent less likely to develop chronic diseases that are more likely to present themselves during the aging process, including Type 2 diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.”
The research involved monitoring a group of participants of various ages eating a high-protein diet made from a small percentage of plant-based protein. The results showed that plant-based protein lowered people’s risk of premature death by 5 percent. The research specifically showed that those who replaced red meat and eggs with plant-based protein had better longevity with 24 percent in men and 21 percent in women having a longer and healthier life.
This research just shows the benefits of eating a plant-based diet as it is much healthier. If people do not want to go vegan for the animals, they may want to do so for their health, as it has so many proven benefits for men and women.
Reducing your meat intake and eating more plant-based foods is known to help with chronic inflammation, heart health, mental wellbeing, fitness goals, nutritional needs, allergies, gut health, and more! Unfortunately, dairy consumption also has been linked to many health problems, including acne, hormonal imbalance, cancer, prostate cancer, and has many side effects.
