Man Creates Bird Paradise Outside of His Home in Sao Paulo

After losing his job, 53-year-old Marcelo Maximo built an outdoor paradise for the birds around his home in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

When he was working outside of his house, he noticed a lot of birds. That’s when he decided to make a birdhouse.

“So, out of the blue, I decided to make a birdhouse to please them a bit. At first, I started building houses, but the birds didn’t come, they didn’t pay much attention to me, but then they started to come.”

Maximo says that people come from all over the city to see his bird resort.

“It is my world here, and I couldn’t explain it. If I could ask for, ‘God, I want a world like this for me,’ I wouldn’t know how to ask for what I exactly want, but what he gave me is exactly what I wanted,” Maximo told Reuters.
