She immediately knew something was wrong and brought Buzz home to care for him. He was so exhausted that he slept through his first night of being in an unfamiliar environment. @rainmarie727 noticed that Buzz had a hurt wing and couldn’t fly. She fed him every 15 minutes to sustain his energy and help his delicate body heal. As time went on, he started to trust her more and would spend more time around her. @rainmarie727 contacted @venturahummingbirdresuce, a nonprofit organization that specializes in caring for injured, orphaned, and special needs birds.

Start by lifting them, along with the material they’re resting on, and place them on a crumpled tissue in a shoebox with holes in the lid. You never want to remove baby hummingbirds from their nest. However, keep in mind that before you rescue an animal, contact a wildlife rehabilitator in your area to find out if the animal needs help.
