Cats are amazing animals. Not only are they intelligent, mischievous, and incredible athletes, but they can also be extremely entertaining. We have all had moments while watching our kitties play when they seem to turn into little lions, pouncing on their prey. While it is always adorable to watch our little felines act like their bigger, wild cousins, it is even cuter when big cats behave like little kittens!

Jade the leopard is only one of many big cats who were given a second chance at life through Big Cat Rescue. This organization is an animal sanctuary in Tampa, Florida, that provides a lifelong home for rescued lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, pumas, panthers, bobcats, cougars, and lynxes, all of whom have been saved from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Many of these animals were the unwilling victims of the exotic pet trade, while others have been rescued from zoos, circuses, and other ill-equipped animal attractions. Due to their circumstances, they cannot be released back into the wild, but Big Cat Rescue aims to give these cats the best life possible.

Without the help of Big Cat Rescue, many of these animals would not be alive today. And they certainly wouldn’t be enjoying playtime with their toys, like lucky Jade, featured in this video. If you would like to learn more, visit their website here.
