Recently, Wildlife SOS pulled off an extraordinary rescue. The 4-hour-long rescue took place at the beginning of July after a leopard entered the canteen of a school in Maharashtra, India.

The leopard entered the building through an open window and was spotted by maintenance staff. Fortunately, there were no children there that day. The staff shut the leopard in and called the Forest Department, which called Wildlife SOS. The poor leopard was frightened and kept running around the canteen, making the rescue even more difficult.

After cutting a hole in one of the canteen doors, the Wildlife SOS team was able to sedate the leopard and bring him into the Wildlife SOS Leopard Rescue Centre in Junnar for medical care.
