We’ve all heard the saying, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.” In this case, drinking the water in the well was probably the furthest thing from this horse’s mind.
A horse named Dreamer accidentally jumped down a well in Chile after being frightened by a passing vehicle. Many people don’t realize that horses are prey animals and they scare extremely easily – even if they are used to walking through the busy streets of a city. A whole team of firefighters had to respond to the incident to help get the frightened Dreamer out of the well.
Onlookers and the horse’s rider waited tensely while the workers used a sling to try to pull the horse out, all unsure of whether or not the poor animal would be alright. After about an hour, Dreamer was pulled to solid ground.
There are conflicting reports about his actual injuries, but from the looks of it, this horse is on his way to recovery. Whatever the case may be, he’s alive. All’s well that end well.
