Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams are launching a campaign called #SAVEWITHSTORIES to help support children that are out of school during coronavirus closures. The actresses teamed up with Save the Children and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to raise money so kids have meals while they’re out of school.

More than 57 million students depend on school for learning and 30 million get meals and daily nutrition needs met by schools. Scholastic is a partner of Save With Stories and is helping to get stories to those that need it while being homeschooled.

“We are tremendously grateful to Jennifer and Amy for supporting this critical effort to help children who are most affected by these unprecedented school closures. Wide-scale learning loss could be among the biggest impacts coronavirus has on children in America. The earliest years are the most important for a child’s development, and missing out on learning now could have a devastating impact on their growth,” said Betsy Zorio, Vice President of Save the Children’s U.S. Programs & Advocacy.

Save With Stories hopes the readings provide a bit of respite for parents and children in isolation.
