Hope For Paws received an urgent text on the emergency line about a family of dogs abandoned on a property. They headed out right away to help! For many pet owners, it’s difficult to imagine abandoning a beloved pet, but this was the sad reality for this family. Fortunately, there is a happy ending to their story.

When the rescue team arrived at the location, they knew they had to act fast because the sun was setting and the temperature was dropping. Sadly, this poor canine family had only an empty pool as their water source and had no access to food or shelter. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to find abandoned dogs in yards and public spaces tied to trees or other stationary objects. For these innocent animals, being left to fend for themselves can make them feel helpless and terrified.

Luckily, the youngest puppy was willing to cooperate, and they were able to get a leash on him pretty quickly. The dad was more frightened and untrusting. He still wasn’t sure if they were a threat and took longer to warm up to them. After the mom greeted their rescuers, the dad soon followed.

At the rescue center, they all received some much-needed TLC and enjoyed a relaxing bubble bath before being taken to their new foster home!
