The U.S. government has approved a 14.5 million-ton coal expansion at Wyoming’s Antelope mine in the Powder River Basin. This reckless decision threatens biodiversity, pollutes air and water, and worsens the climate crisis. Coal is not a future—it’s a death sentence for people and planet.
Coal mining isn’t even safe for workers. Modern miners face higher risks of cancer, black lung, and fatal health conditions. Communities deserve clean energy jobs, not deadly industries that destroy both livelihoods and ecosystems. Expanding coal in 2025 is a step backwards when safer, renewable options already exist.
Sign the petition now to demand the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement reverse this disastrous approval. It’s time to protect our environment and workers, not sacrifice them for outdated fossil fuels.
