Diquat is a toxic herbicide ingredient still used in the U.S.—despite being banned in other countries for its dangers. Studies link diquat to organ damage, nervous system harm, Parkinson’s disease, and even cancer. Yet instead of protecting people, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) continues to allow its use.
For years, Monsanto’s glyphosate drew global outrage and lawsuits over its cancer risks. Now glyphosate is being swapped out for something potentially even worse: diquat. Allowing one deadly chemical to be replaced with another is reckless and threatens public health, ecosystems, and future generations.
The EPA must step up and ban diquat immediately before more people are exposed. Sign the petition now to demand urgent action and help end the cycle of toxic weedkillers in the U.S.
