Across Europe, families are discovering their tap water has been contaminated for years with PFAS — dangerous “forever chemicals” linked to cancer, infertility, and immune disorders. In Sweden’s Kallinge, residents drank water poisoned by firefighting foam for decades, leaving even children with PFAS levels thousands of times above safe limits. In France, 60,000 people in Saint-Louis can no longer use their tap water after similar contamination.
PFAS don’t break down — they stay in our bodies and the environment forever. Wildlife is suffering too, from sick seals in the Arctic to injured alligators in North Carolina. These chemicals are everywhere — in cookware, clothing, food packaging, electronics — and in the blood of nearly everyone on Earth.
The UN must act now by adding PFAS to the Stockholm Convention, banning them globally. Sign the petition now before more communities are poisoned.
