Kabul, home to 7 million people, is on the verge of a catastrophic water crisis. Experts warn it could become the first major city in modern history to run completely dry by 2030. Nearly half of its groundwater boreholes have dried up, aquifers are collapsing due to Climate change and rapid urban growth, and 80% of the city’s remaining water is contaminated with sewage and arsenic. Families are forced into debt just to buy safe water, while private companies allegedly profit by exploiting the crisis.
Without urgent international aid, millions in Kabul could face deadly health risks, poverty, and forced migration. USAID must act now to provide funding and infrastructure Support before it’s too late. The world cannot ignore this looming humanitarian disaster. Sign the petition now to demand action and show global solidarity with the people of Kabul. Sign the petition today.
