The pay gap between CEOs and everyday workers in the U.S. has reached shocking levels. Research from the Institute for Policy Studies shows the ratio has skyrocketed to 631-to-1. At the 100 corporations with the lowest worker pay in the S&P 500, CEOs took home an average of $17.2 million, while median employee pay was just $35,570 a year.

Some companies are even worse. Starbucks handed its CEO nearly $96 million last year—6,666 times more than its median worker’s pay of $14,674. Coca-Cola, Chipotle, Carnival Cruises, Walmart, and others also rank among the worst offenders. Meanwhile, workers struggle with soaring housing costs, grocery bills, and stagnant wages. This isn’t sustainable—it’s exploitation. Congress has the power to act. Sign the petition now to demand legislation capping these obscene pay gaps and protecting working people.
