According to the NY Post, 2,000 dogs are under care at a single shelter in Iran. Volunteers at the location are responsible for their care.

Shelter of Kerman, the shelter that was featured on Newsflare, is finally in good hands according to one volunteer, after years of mismanagement. Soma, a volunteer, shared the situation.

“It was a horrible situation,” she said. But now, things are looking up. “Two months ago the lady I work with took over the shelter, and with a lot of hard work, we are now getting all the work done and feeding dogs and trying to make a better life for them.”

Americans can adopt animals at the shelter through the Paws4Thought rescue, according to Soma.
