This puppy named Zeph was born with a cleft palate. When his foster mom first laid eyes on him, she felt an instant connection and knew she had to take him home.

The animal rescue was tube feeding him at the time to ensure that he was hydrated and reaching a healthy weight. In the meantime, the rescue made sure to send his foster mom plenty of photos and videos of her new baby. As Zeph began to grow, his mom became more attached and fell in love with the process of adopting and caring for a rescue dog. Once Zeph reached his ideal weight, veterinarians repaired his cleft palate, which meant he could finally go and enjoy his new foster home. After having such an amazing experience, Zeph’s foster mom now rescues pups of all ages!

By opening your home, you are saving a life — and each pet you foster is a new life saved. You become an important part of the mission to save homeless pets by not only giving that individual animal hope but also by making a difference for all animals.
