Oklahoma City animal welfare officers are investigating an instance of supposed animal abuse and intent to kill after a horrific video was recorded. The video showed a man running over his neighbor’s dog, Vers, and reversing to run over the dog a second time

The neighbor’s home security cameras caught the man running over their dog twice. No arrests have been made yet as animal welfare officers are still investigating the incident, trying to conclude whether or not this was indeed animal cruelty or an accident.

The 2-year-old golden retriever mix miraculously survived the incident and had no life-threatening injuries. She only needed emergency care for her back leg that had been degloved while being repeatedly run over. Sadly, the owners had to surrender Vers, due to the extensive medical bills required.

Vers is responding well to therapy, and she should make a full recovery. She is currently living with her foster parents until she is completely recovered.

Hopefully, Verse will have a smooth and complete recovery and find a new forever home where she can be safe and loved. Mutt Misfits Animal Rescue Society is raising money for medical expenses. You can Donate here.
