Man Cuts Out Dog’s Heart as Part of a Ritual to Remove Demons From His Home

A man in Tennessee is accused of cutting out his dog’s heart as part of a ritual to clear demons from his house. The man has been charged with animal cruelty.

The arrest warrant shared that Brandon Lankford cut out his dog’s heart to remove demons from his house. The man was arrested. Deputies shared they noticed a dog in Lankford’s yard with a “large stab wound on its neck and another on its body.”

Lankford told deputies he, “stabbed his dog and removed its heart to get rid of the demons in the house.” Witnesses to the crime shared that he gave the dog to a juvenile, put it on the kitchen counter, and stabbed the dog in the neck and chest.

He was arrested on an animal cruelty charge and was put in jail on a $30,000 bond.

It’s important that animal cruelty cases like this are taken extremely seriously. Someone who commits this kind of act may continue harming animals and humans once they are back out in the world. Thus, it’s vital to focus on rehabilitation as a long-term solution and treat any underlying mental health issues that may have contributed to the crime.
