Humane Society International (HSI-India) shared that two minors had been arrested in relation to a video of a tortured dog in January. The group applauded local police in Vijayawanda, India for their swift action. The two boys tortured a dog by hurling it in the air to shoot a video.

Andhra Pradesh Police shared on Twitter that they were investigating the case and shared that animal abuse was unacceptable. The complaint was filed against the minors.

A tweet from HSI India, read, “Thank you @APPOLICE100 for your prompt action. Recognising that animal abuse unchecked is highly likely to lead to further crimes against other vulnerable members of the society, like women & children, is crucial to controlling violence in society at large. Kudos to you.”

The police said that action would be taken against those that violate the laws regarding animal cruelty. Here’s the video:
