Animal Rescue League in Iowa Saves Over 40 Dogs During Winter Storm

According to KWWL, a local Iowa news station, Animal Rescue League of Iowa rescued between 40 and 50 dogs from a property in the state.

The groups posted the information to their Facebook page. The team was dispatched as a recent winter storm began and was able to complete the rescue. More details are coming soon, according to the group.

After the original post in the morning of February 4, the group sent an update, “UPDATE: After several hours in the brutal cold, snow, and wind, the ARL Emergency Response Teams are attempting to make their way back to the shelter in Des Moines with the dogs that were rescued today, but the blizzard is making travel extremely difficult. We are working to get all of our rescue teams and dogs (among 4 vehicles and multiple trailers) back safely and will provide another update once everyone arrives. Thank you for everyone’s thoughts and well wishes for our teams and donations for the dogs’ care! Stay safe out there!”
