A rescue dog named Primrose has finally found happiness after enduring a heartbreaking ordeal. Her journey to recovery began when Paws New England, a foster-based shelter, received a distressing call about her situation. An anonymous caller threatened to have her shot if she wasn’t removed from their property.

Quickly stepping in to save her, foster carer Misty Goodson, living nearby in Mississippi, took Primrose into her care. Primrose was discovered near Southaven in a dire state, suffering from a broken elbow and severe malnutrition. Her spirit was crushed, yet she was now in safe hands.

Paws New England immediately provided the necessary veterinary treatment, including the amputation of her injured leg. Despite the surgery, Primrose adapted well and began her journey to healing, with plans for further strengthening and training.

Under Goodson’s nurturing care, Primrose thrived. She showed a love for outdoor adventures, enjoyed her walks, and cherished playtime with other dogs. Her transformation highlights the profound impact that care and compassion can have on animals in distress.
