A cat named Harry has become a source of solace for his grieving grandmother, Theresa Rodgers, 73, who recently lost her husband to a stroke. The heartwarming moment was captured by Barbara Costanzo, 44, during a visit to console her bereaved mother in Los Angeles.
Costanzo, a graphic designer, was pleasantly surprised to witness Harry’s newfound role as a comforting presence for her grieving mother. In a video shared on TikTok (@beeheartsyou___), Harry can be seen placing his paw on Rodgers’ chest and gazing into her eyes, offering a tender connection during this difficult time.

“I am so happy she has Harry to be there with her when we cannot be,” expressed Costanzo, highlighting the emotional Support Harry provides in the absence of family members.
Before the passing of Mark, 74, Harry was known for being skittish and avoiding contact with strangers. However, Costanzo observed a remarkable transformation in the feline’s behavior after the loss. “Since my stepdad’s death, he’s seen my mom crying a lot. She’s been grieving and having trouble eating,” Costanzo shared.
The video, posted on November 10, went viral, amassing over 662,000 views and 153,000 likes on TikTok. Commenters flooded the post with messages of admiration for the touching bond between Harry and Rodgers, emphasizing the profound comfort they provide each other daily.
Costanzo reflected on the positive change in Harry’s demeanor, noting, “His main concern was not leaving my mom’s side. She holds him like a baby and gives him so much love, but whenever she is doing something else like reading or watching a program, he keeps putting his paw on her as if to make sure she is OK.”
