Snakes are beautiful creatures that sometimes get a bad rap. In many cases, people are afraid of their very existence! But, these sweet slithering serpents deserve just as much love as any furry friend. Unfortunately, because people are so scared of snakes they sometimes end up in unsafe conditions. Luckily, there are still plenty of humans and rescue organizations who step in to make a difference.

1. Emaciated Boa Constrictor

This boa constrictor was abandoned and left to die. He was so skinny a finger could fit inside of his ribcage and he had a collapsed lung. But, he was brought back to health by two amazing rescuers.

2. Sick Boa Constrictor

This boa constrictor was surrendered when the parent could no longer afford veterinary care. When he got to the rescue center he was in bad shape and covered in mites.

3. Abandoned Python

A couple in Florida stumbled upon an abandoned python covered in ticks at their local park and instantly stepped in. When they brought her home, they gave her a bubble bath and brought her back to life.

4. Sticky Kingsnake

The Snake Discovery Team was called about a dead snake stuck to a mouse sticky trap. Luckily, the snake was alive and able to be rehabilitated!

5. Two Snakes Found in a Hotel

When a man got evicted from his home, he had to give away most of his retile “collection”. But, he held onto three rattlesnakes and brought them to a hotel with him. The conditions they were in were not ideal. But, Snake Discovery stepped up and drove to pick up the snakes.
