Robert Irwin, 18-year-old conservationist and son of the “Crocodile Hunter” star Steve Irwin, posted two TikTok videos recently sharing an amazing rescue with his followers. Irwin spotted a large snake in the middle of the road inside his family’s zoo and bravely got out of his car and moved him to safety using his bare hands!
“Have a look at this big fella. He’s in a very, very bad position,” Irwin says as he casually holds up the snake. “Don’t you bite me on the face,” Irwin said jokingly. “He’s thinking about it.”

“He’s on a road – he’s at Australia Zoo, this is in the zoo – and he’s got crocs on that side and he’s got an aviary full of birds,” he continued. “He’s either going to get eaten or he’s going to eat one of our animals.”
Irwin then proceeds to carry the heavy snake into his car with him, carefully puts him inside a transport, and drives to a “nice, natural bushland, where he’s come from,” says Irwin.

The rescue journey continues in a part 2 follow-up video, captioned, “Snake rescue part 2!” Irwin’s mom, Terri, joins in for backup, and Irwin calls her “his camera operator for the day.” They work together to release the snake into a more “natural spot” with a “nice little lake” and “plenty of bushland” in the area.
“I think he’s slightly bummed out that he can’t eat any of our birds, but other than that, I reckon he’s pretty happy,” he says in the clip.
Thanks to Robert, the snake is now living in a better habitat and away from the danger of the road.
