How to Prepare Deep Dish Quiche Pizza [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

To Make the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 390°F. Line a round cake pan or pie dish with baking paper.
  2. In a food processor, pulse all crust ingredients until smooth and combined.
  3. Spread crust on bottom and lower sides of cake pan/pie dish. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.

To Make the Tomato Sauce:

  1. If you are making your own sauce, place all ingredients in a saucepan with a dash of water. Bring the saucepan to boil then simmer until tomatoes have reduced to a sauce-like consistency. Set aside.

To Make the Tofu Ricotta:

  1. In a food processor, pulse all ingredients until smooth and it forms a paste-like consistency. If it is not smooth enough, add more milk
  2. Prepare vegetables.

To Assemble:

  1. Remove crust from oven. Spread tomato pizza sauce on base, then ricotta filling, then vegetables.
  2. Bake pizza in the oven for 45 minutes or until the crust starts to come away from the sides of the pan/pan.
  3. Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce by mixing all ingredients until smooth. Add more water for a thinner sauce. Set aside.
  4. Remove pizza from oven and drizzle with cheese sauce.

  1. This turned out well for me. The addition of pizza sauce added some good flavor. I upped the portion of tofu, though to a whole block and also added some lemon juice to it as well as lots of Italian seasoning. Sure, it could have used even more seasoning because it mostly tastes like tofu, but I love tofu so it’s not an issue for me. My boyfriend lined it, too.

  2. hi there, I made the pizza tonight and my advice to everyone is allow yourself plenty of time! I really liked the sweet potato crust and cheesy sauce, but the kale/tofu ricotta was not to my taste. I would use less kale or substitute something else next time. Anyway I got some greens in! Thank you, Anthea. :)
