Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Melt vegan butter in a pot. Add 1 tablespoon of flour into the vegan butter. Brown the flour a little.
  2. Slowly whisk almond milk into the pot. Add vegan cream cheese and vegan cheese slices.
  3. Sprinkle in garlic powder and a dash of lime juice. Add cooked pasta. Taste to see if you want to add salt or pepper.
  4. Mix seitan chunks with buffalo wing sauce and add it to the pasta.

  1. I agree with the previous comments – this cannot possibly be gluten-free when the seitan is made using vital wheat gluten. It\’s really quite dangerous to have this advertised as gluten-free for many who suffer from coeliac disease or wheat/gluten sensitivity.

  2. I have celiac,, and when I clicked on your seitan link, it took me to a recipe for making seitan with wheat gluten. Please remove the words "gluten-free" from this recipe, as a newly diagnosed celiac might be mislead by your error, and run into serious trouble like diahrrea, ungodly itchy rah that breakout in spots or all over the body, and be at increased risk of osteoporosis, cavities, malnutirtion, and yes – cancer. I know a lady who had cancer at age 19, survived, and later found out she has celiac. She became a nurse and on htis path, she worked for America\’s foremost authority on celiac – Dr. Alesio Fasano in Maryland. I also have been in supprt groups with people who have anaphylaxic shock from eating gluten , and could die from eating gluten. Please be careful about the advice you post for people with this serious medical problem of celiac (which is an auto-immune medical disorder), like posting this recipe as gluten-free, when it is very much made with lots of gluten and can cause serious medical complications like death in some.
