Vegan food has always called my attention because it is varied, colorful, and delicious; there are surprising combinations which create extraordinary and unexpected tastes. However, the most important fact is that no animal has to get hurt in order to eat well. I went vegan in 2011 and it was the best choice I have ever made. First, I did it to save animals, but then later I realized how beneficial it was for both the environment and health. How to Prepare Tandoori ‘Steaks’ [Vegan]
- Soak steaks in warm water or vegetable broth for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the marinade by mixing the yogurt with 2 tablespoons of tandoori spices and the lemon juice. Stire the marinade until fully incorporated, then spread over the steaks and place them on a baking try. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 355°F, remove plastic wrap, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice, couscous, naan bread, or other favorite grains and vegetables.
