What Ingredients Do You Need To Make Spicy Silken Tofu [Vegan]
- 1 (14-oz [397-g]) package silken tofu
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) rice wine vinegar
- 1/2 tablespoon (8 ml) agave or organic sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sriracha
- 2–3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon (8 g) sesame seeds (optional)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
- 1 green onion, diced
How To Make Spicy Silken Tofu [Vegan]
- Drain the tofu and place on a serving plate.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the soy sauce, vinegar, agave, ginger, sriracha, garlic, sesame seeds (if using) and water and mix until well incorporated. Add the mixture to a medium sauce-pan on low–medium heat along with the green onion and let the mixture heat through, 3 to 5 minutes. Top the tofu with the warmed mixture and enjoy.
