This smashed pea and avocado dip/spread is a nice protein loaded spin of the traditional guacamole. Use it as a dip for your fresh veggies, top it up on your veggie burrito, include into your macro bowl or upgrade your usual avocado toast. No matter how you eat this creamy deliciousness you can count on the fact that you are doing your body good.

Easy Protein Guacamole [Vegan, Gluten-Free, Raw]

Ingredients

  • 1 cup green peas fresh or frozen
  • medium avocados
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • Handful fresh herbs

Preparation

  1. If using frozen green peas, place it in a glass cup or bowl and cover with hot water. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile cut avocados in half, remove pit, scoop the inside of the fruit into a medium-size bowl.

  3. Add lime juice and salt. Mash all together with fork until creamy consistency is achieved.

  4. Drain the defrosted peas and add it to the avocado bowl.

  5. Mix all ingredients well.

  6. Top with chopped fresh herbs of your choice (cilantro, parsley, mint, chives).

  7. Serve immediately or let sit in a fridge for up to 1 hour to soak up the flavors.
