Chocolate Smoothie Topped With Superfoods [Vegan]

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Smoothie:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs
  • 3 dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of water/coconut water

For the Toppings:

  • 1 teaspoon shredded coconut
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 5 green super hearts
  • 1 teaspoon raw cacao nibs

For the Green super hearts (makes 15 hearts):

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 dates
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

  1. Make green super hearts the day before: blend all the ingredients and pour the mixture into silicon heart-shaped candy molds.
  2. Put it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Blend all smoothie ingredients except cacao nibs until smooth.
  4. Add cacao nibs. Pulse several times.
  5. Pour in the bowl.
  6. Top with coconut, chia seeds, green super hearts, and raw cacao nibs.
