- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a sheet pan lined with parchment or a silpat liner.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cacao or cocoa.
- In the bowl of a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment or using a hand mixer, cream the coconut oil, avocado, applesauce, and sugar for 3 minutes.
- Add half of the stirred dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and beat. Then, beat in the vanilla extract and almond milk. After, add the remaining half of the flour and mix until fully incorporated.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounds of the dough onto the lined sheet pan and flatten with the palm of your hand or the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes until the bottoms are set and solid, but the tops are still soft.
- Let cool on a wire rack.
