Plant-based foods have proven to be very helpful to athletes like the many Tennessee Titans players who eat plant-based with the help of Chef Charity Morgan. Now, Tom Brady wants to help athletes and fitness aficionados get their protein from plants, or at the very least, he wants to compete with the many plant-based protein powders currently available and trending. With the super bowl just a few days away, Tom Brady launched his very own plant-based protein powder!

Tom Brady’s TB12 brand already sold protein powders, but they were made of whey (dairy-base). The new TB12 plant-based protein powder is available in chocolate and vanilla. Each serving has a whopping 24 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar. The plant-based protein source in the powder is peas! Peas also have, “lysine – an essential amino acid that is a key to muscle recovery – and arginine, a semi-essential amino acid that promotes healing and blood flow.”

The protein powder is also organic, non-GMO, and allergen-friendly. It’s also free of soy and preservatives. Hopefully, this protein powder inspires many athletes to get their protein from plants!
