Chocolate maker TCHO is moving forward with a new plant-based formula to include in their line of deliciously rich chocolate products.
Six new bars featuring plant-based ingredients will be joining the chocolate company’s other offerings, giving vegans everywhere a chance to try this brand of chocolate bar. The flavors include Born Fruity, Choco Latte, Aww Nuts!, Toffee Time, Holy Fudge, and Dark Duo. TCHO also plans to recreate all of its non-vegan chocolate bars with its new plant-based formula.
Josh Mohr, senior vice president of marketing at TCHO, said, “Reducing our reliance on dairy is one of the quickest ways we can lighten our impact on the environment. While this will not be an easy transition for us, we know it’s the right one. From the beginning, TCHO has been committed to working with our farming partners in the field, improving farming techniques, bettering soil conditions, and doing what we can to help minimize deforestation — all of which speaks to a plant-based model.”
This new vegan formula took three years to perfect in the TCHO kitchen, resulting in a deliciously decadent chocolate bar that tastes just as good as the original, if not better.
The company has also prioritized environmentally-friendly packaging, relying mostly on recyclable packaging and post-consumer waste paper.
Make your own plant-based chocolate at home:
Reducing your meat intake and eating more plant-based foods is known to help with chronic inflammation, heart health, mental wellbeing, fitness goals, nutritional needs, allergies, gut health, and more! Unfortunately, dairy consumption also has been linked to many health problems, including acne, hormonal imbalance, cancer, prostate cancer, and has many side effects.
For those interested in eating more plant-based, we highly recommend purchasing one of our plant-based cookbooks or downloading the Food Monster App which has thousands of delicious recipes making it the largest vegan recipe resource to help reduce your environmental footprint, save animals and get healthy! And, while you are at it, we encourage you to also learn about the environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet.
