Responding to the growing demand for healthier food options, Mighty Yum, the brainchild of health-conscious entrepreneurs Marc Elkman and Howard Panes, has introduced a revamped formulation for its popular plant-based Munchables lunch kits. The updated Turkey and Cheese, and Ham and Cheese varieties now boast a soy and gluten-free recipe, catering to parents seeking nutritious choices for their children. Certified by Merieux NutriSciences for being free from harmful additives, these revamped products mark a significant step towards providing wholesome alternatives in the lunchbox aisle.
In the pursuit of healthier alternatives, Mighty Yum replaced the original soy and gluten bases with a medley of vegetables including parsnips, chickpeas, sweet potatoes, and tomato puree. This strategic move aligns with the company’s mission to blend fun with health, evident in its vibrant packaging and kid-friendly flavors.
Since their inception in 2022, Mighty Yum’s lunch kits have been a hit among health-conscious families. Varieties like Ham and Cheese, Turkey and Cheese, and Pepperoni Pizza offer a guilt-free indulgence, devoid of dairy, nuts, and GMOs, and now with reduced sodium content compared to traditional lunch kits.
Scott Kerner, Chief Operating Officer of Mighty Yum, expressed pride in the company’s commitment to providing better-for-you options. He stated, “The recipe reformulation further supports our mission to be the trusted better-for-you brand, that offers the most innovative plant-powered ingredients across our product line.”
