Comedian, entrepreneur, and actor Kevin Hart has brought the plant-based sensation, Hart House, to the University of Southern California (USC) campus, marking the fourth Los Angeles location for this rapidly-growing, plant-based quick service restaurant (QSR).

Just a month after the successful launch of a Hollywood location, the USC restaurant has opened its doors, joining the locations in Westchester and Monrovia since its inception in August 2022. Designed to bring plant-based cuisine to a wider audience, the new location provides the USC community an opportunity to relish Hart House’s sustainable, appetizing, plant-forward menu, including the signature burg’rs, chick’n sandwiches, nuggets, shakes, and more.

Housed within 1,310 square feet of interior space and 2,300 square feet of beautifully landscaped common area, the new Hart House offers a dining experience like no other, complete with lounge seating, a water feature, fire pit, and popular table games. Kevin Hart himself commented, “College students are always looking for easy and delicious meals, and Hart House satisfies both those wants.”

The vibrant and fresh aesthetics of Hart House, designed by Kai Williams of Studio 7 Design Group and Nicollete Santos, reflect the vibrant energy and creativity that the plant-based QSR aims to radiate. It’s not just about the food; it’s about creating a sustainable and welcoming space for patrons and employees alike.

As CEO Andy Hooper notes, “Hart House USC represents the first of many future college locations. As we serve up a new era, we are thrilled to offer this community a new way to discover and enjoy plant-based food while creating a sustainable environment for our employees and challenging the status quo.”

But Hart House’s commitment goes beyond good food. In the spirit of community service, they will Donate 10% of opening day proceeds to LA Promise Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing Los Angeles students for success. Veronica Melvin, LA Promise Fund CEO/President, expressed her gratitude, “While we nourish students’ minds, Hart House feeds the appetite for tasty yet affordable food from a company constantly striving to build healthier and happier neighborhoods.”

Hart House is a vibrant symbol of the future of food. It’s a movement striving to disrupt the quick-service industry by offering affordable and flavorful plant-based alternatives. With its unique combination of tasty, sustainable, and 100% plant-based food, Hart House is certainly living up to its mission to be “plant-based for the people”.
