The heartwarming ad is streaming on HULU and NBCU channels in select cities across the US. It will also be playing at cinemas in the UK and all across the internet.
The ad begins with Bigfoot feeling alone as he watches the effects of climate change as well as the alarm on social media. Once his best friend Snowman melts from global warming, Bigfoot is inspired to make a difference and join others in making dietary changes for the environment. He joins the Veganuary movement and signs up to go vegan for 31 days “to help cut his carbon Bigfoot-print.”
Veganuary’s US Director, Wendy Matthews, said, “Like our protagonist, many people want to do their part to tackle the climate crisis and know that changing their diet is a good place to start – but it can seem daunting. By signing up to Veganuary they are joining a growing global community that will support them. And hopefully, as bigfoot does in the video, they’ll see that taking collective action feels great!”
Nearly 32% of Americans plan to make more plant-based choices this new year, as it is becoming more apparent than ever how important our dietary choices are for the climate. Hopefully, Cromwell’s Veganuary ad will encourage even more people to choose plant-based options in January and year-round!
