If you’re plant-based, then you know how difficult and trying it is to find a good, healthy meal at a fast food restaurant. Often, we’re subjected to soggy, sad salads (piled high with one tomato), french fries that are probably cooked with chicken nuggets, oil-drenched bread, wilted vegetables, and unsatisfying mounds of guacamole. However, intermixed with fast food restaurants that could care less about veganism is one beacon of quick, lazy hope: Taco Bell.
Taco Bell isn’t the only fast food restaurant with vegan options, but they are one of the most widely available. Of course, you have to double check to make sure you’re really getting a vegan meal at any outing. Ordering out doesn’t have to be so, so hard. So, the big question here is: what’s vegan at taco bell?

The Crunchwrap Supreme is American Vegetarian Association (AVA) certified, which means it’s a perfect option for all vegans if you ask them to remove the beef, sour cream, and nacho cheese. You can add more black beans and lettuce or tomato to make it even yummier.

You can also eat a power burrito if you ask them to remove the cheese, sour cream and ranch sauce. Add extra veggies for a packed burrito or add loads of beans and more avocado for extra satisfaction. You can also get a bean burrito, filled with refried beans, if you ask them to make it fresco. Don’t forget, you can always have a crunchy or soft taco, just ask them to remove the beef and add beans. If you haven’t already had this, try this spicy tostada too! It’s filled with beans, tomato chunks, and shredded lettuce. Make sure to ask them to take off the cheese and chipotle sauce, so this dish can become fully vegan. Yum!
