Deliveroo and Burger King are teaming up to create a Meat-Free Monday campaign, according to Daily Record.

During the campaign, anyone who spends over £15 on the Deliveroo app will receive a free vegan royale. This plant-based special includes a crispy plant-based chicken patty, made by The Vegetarian Butcher, on a sesame bun with iceberg lettuce and vegan mayonnaise. The vegan burger option launched in April and has been certified vegan-friendly by The Vegan Society.

The Meat-Free Monday campaign is set to run from August 9th to September 13th, giving everyone plenty of time to grab a plant-based meal from this popular fast-food chain. While the campaign is for a limited time only, Deliveroo has said that they will be releasing more plant-based options throughout the year.

This campaign is just the first step that Burger King is taking towards offering more options that are meat-free. Their plans are to slowly remove some of their meat options in order to make room for more plant-based options on their menu.

With the demand for more vegan fast foods higher than ever. Delivery apps like Deliveroo have flourished and gained swift popularity.

An interview on Forbes showed that even grocery stores are seeing a significant spike in the demand for more plant-based options. Making it more important than ever for them to start to lean more towards plant-based alternatives.
