After Hope for Paws received a call about two adorable small dogs who needed rescue from the streets, Eldad and Loreta headed out with a new team member in tow, Loreta’s dad Algis!
The homeless pups were immediately spotted when rescuers pulled up to the location. One appeared to be a Chihuahua mix and the other a Terrier mix. One of the neighbors reported that the pups were being bullied by bigger dogs in the area (if that doesn’t make your heart sink, we don’t know what will). On top of that, they were filthy and dehydrated. The rescue team was determined to get these two cuties off the streets and to safety.
Luckily, there was a small fenced yard where they were able to contain the dogs. With skilled teamwork and a gentle touch, it wasn’t long before both dogs, which Loreta named Hummus and Falafel, were safe, clean, and ready for a new chapter. Hummus and Falafel are learning how to trust and enjoy life in their foster home with LA Animal Rescue.
